KDO IS GETTING A HOME
The KDO Center is coming to 30th and Meridian, just steps from the Children’s Museum.
After 14 years of bringing the joy of dance to children across Indianapolis, Kids Dance Outreach is creating a home of its own: a fully accessible, purpose-built space where children can dance, perform, gather, and belong.
We’ve raised $4.6 million toward our $5 million goal.
Now we’re asking our community to help us take the final step and raise $400,000 by December 31.
The first $150,000 donated will be generously matched by Glick Philanthropies, doubling the impact of your gift.
Give with confidence, possibility, and joy, at the level that is meaningful to you, whether it’s $25 or $2,500.
NUESTRA HISTORIA
MÁS ALLÁ DE LAS EXPECTATIVAS
Since 2012, Kids Dance Outreach (KDO) has quietly transformed the lives of more than 26,000 children.
THE KDO CENTER
A home for dance. A place for community.
At 30th and Meridian, the KDO Center will bring together everything KDO has been building for 14 years in one welcoming, accessible space, purpose-built for KDO dancers.
- Single-story, 11,170 sq. ft. new build
- Two professionally equipped dance studios with sprung floors
- Main studio includes professional lighting, sound, and flexible seating for up to 180, allowing it to double as a performance space
- Fully accessible design so every child can thrive
Here, children will learn from professional Teaching Artists and Musicians, perform for their families and community, gather with friends, be inspired by guest artists, and experience the joy of dance in a space designed specifically for them.
A place to dance. A place to belong. A place to grow.
WHY A HOME MATTERS
KDO has brought dance into schools, studios, parks, and borrowed spaces across Indianapolis since its founding in 2012.
A home of our own means something different: a place designed specifically for KDO, where children can return week after week, where programs can grow, where families can gather, and where every child can know that the KDO Center is theirs. It is their home.
We can’t wait to watch the children of KDO today, and generations of children to come, take flight here.
WE’VE COME SO FAR
La KDO ha crecido con intención:
$4.6M raised
$400K to go
$5M campaign goal
What began with a vision has grown into something our community has built together. Years of hard work, incredible generosity, and belief have brought us here.
The final $400,000 will make sure the KDO Center opens at full strength from day one: every program ready to go, every child welcomed, and every family participating at no cost.
